A service built around trust should not exclude people based on how they access it. Here is what we hold ourselves to, and how to tell us when we fall short.
If any part of this website keeps you from getting help with your home, we want to hear about it. We don't require you to use the website at all — you can always reach us by phone, and a person will handle your request the same way the form would.
How we build
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice that means building toward:
- Text that maintains strong contrast against its background
- Keyboard access to every link, button and form field, with visible focus indicators
- Labels on every form input, and error states that are announced rather than only coloured
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure
- Alternative text on meaningful images, and none on decorative ones
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences, so animation is never required to use the site
- Tap targets large enough to use accurately on a phone
What we know still needs work
- The site has not yet been reviewed by an independent accessibility auditor. Our statements here describe how we build, not a certification we hold.
- Some uploaded documents and third-party tools may not be fully accessible. If a document you need isn't readable by your assistive technology, contact us and we will provide the information in another format.

Reporting a barrier
When you contact us about accessibility, it helps if you can tell us the page or feature involved, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology or browser you were using. That is enough for us to reproduce it. You don't need to phrase it technically — describing what went wrong is enough.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days, and to provide the information you needed in an accessible format while any underlying issue is being fixed.
